Candy Raid – 2022 Bourbonette Oaks winner and Confidence Game – 2023 Rebel Stakes winner. The two Don’t Tell My Wife Stables LLC’s (DTMWS) horses that ran the races of their lives, created the excitement that propelled our managing partners to form Blazing Saddles Racing Stables LLC (BSRS).

BSRS’s Illinois-based founding families – Gary and Judy Ahasic, John and Paula Cibulskis, and Brad and Janice Westrom – experienced early successes with Don’t Tell My Wife Stables that solidified their passion for thoroughbred horses and the racing industry as members of DTMWS and partial owners of 2022 Kentucky Oaks entrant, Candy Raid, and 2023 Kentucky Derby participant, Confidence Game.

Following Confidence Game’s thrilling 2023 come-from-behind victory at the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn, which secured his place in the 149th Kentucky Derby field, the Ahasics, Cibulskises, and Westoms decided to form their own LLC, Blazing Saddles Racing Stables.

Their goal: bring the “Sport of Kings” to their own personal and professional networks, offering them the opportunity to experience the excitement and thrill of thoroughbred racing. The LLC’s first ownership group features partners from eight states across the country – many residing in Illinois. Other states included are CT, TX, CA, FL, OH, SC, and WI. BSRS’s intimate partnership structure allows participants to enjoy an increased ownership stake, on-track success at the highest level, and memories that last a lifetime.
